Megan Farrell

About Me...

My name is Megan, I'm 19 years old and from Leeds. For aslong as I can remember I have supported Leeds Rhinos and travelled all over the country watching them in super league games and finals through the sucessful times and the not so good times! My first Christmas present that I can remember asking 'Santa' for was a Rhinos shirt in return 'he' wanted my dummies!

When I was in high school I literally had no idea what I wanted to do when I finished but I knew I really enjoyed my media GCSE course and actually ended up coming out with an A*, so I progressed further and gained an A-Level in media studies. With having both of these media qualifications under my belt I decided to go to University and study 'Public Relations and Media' but after my first year I realised it wasn't for me and that I would prefer being out in the field learning the skills needed to work in a media environment rather than in a classroom.

After lots of thought about what I wanted to do after University I thought I enjoy media and love rugby so why not try and find something that involves them both. This is when I bumped into Alex Simmons, the founder of the company that showcases the personalities of Rugby League, Rugby AM and literally pested him to give me some work experience and then he offered me a place on the new course he had put together called 'Rugby AM Academy'.
