Filming for 'Rob Burrow's off the Cuff'

As one of the first parts of the Rugby AM Academy, we were formally introduced to the team formally which included Alex Simmons, Jamie Jones-Buchanan (and if you're a Leeds fan like me you would probably be fan girling like I was but also trying to play it cool!) and the head of the academy, Sam, who all went through the course structure, what it includes, what to expect and the do's and the don'ts etc. We were then introduced to two Leeds Rhinos players, Rob Burrow and Adam Cuthbertson (more fan girling occurred) who discussed what they were going to talk about in the first episode of 'off the cuff' which is a segment which will be featured in every episode which involves Rob Burrow giving his reviews on the latest films in the cinema. The first episode featured a review of their fellow team mates, Jamie Jones' recent stage play, Leeds Lads.

We then went outside to film the section with the players and just

observed to see what happens when filming. For example, where the camera should be placed, where a green screen should be positioned, how to attempt to eliminate unwanted background noise and so on because if anyone else is like me I don't really know that much about technology! Adam and Rob were obviously discussing Leeds Lads as the main topic of the show but were also discussing their favourite movies to fill the section up. This is when I opened my mouth and said that I noticed that Adam Cuthbertson had a tattoo on his inner arm (because I wasn't look at his muscles of corse...) of the film ET in a silhouette of the famous image of Eliot riding the bike with ET in the basket. As Adam then stated it describes his personality but unfortunately this section didn't make the final show but its always a good experience to get close to rugby players when they're only wearing a vest!!

The link to this specific section of the first episode is below.
