Harry Jepson OBE's Funeral...

Harry Jepson OBE was an English rugby league administrator and president of the Leeds Rhinos. Recently Harry passed away after a long life of 96 years. As a tribute to Harry, Leeds Rhinos decided to honour him by holding a celebration/funeral whereby his family, close friends and the general public could come and pay their respects to Harry.

This celebration service included speeches from rugby league legends, Gary Hetherington, Gary Schofield, Nigel Wood, Kevin Sinfield, performances from Lizzie Jones and pole barers which included Jamie Peacock, Lee Crooks, Shaun Wane, Brian McDermott, Roy Dickinson and many more.

My part on the day was working alongside Leeds Rhinos TV and doing some filming of the service which will later be edited and put onto the TV show.

Overall everything ran smoothly and was in time to the running order created by the Leeds Rhinos staff but would thing that did potentially affect the filming was that people kept standing in front of the camera and pushing past which obviously distorted the footage.

Other than a few minor problems I thoroughly enjoyed my day (apart from the fact that it was a funeral of corse) because it gave me real life experience of what it is like to be in a working environment. The day included both tears and laughter and was a very successful service and a fitting tribute to say goodbye.
